Ch. 1 Paragraph 1

Audrey kept thinking. The rain was lightly running down her window as she read her book in the nearby arm chair. The quiet solitude of her apartment with the framed pictures of countless relatives and friends displayed proudly; they were displayed so proudly that Audrey misplaced the thought that she had not seen any of these characters in months. It was not that she was a reclusive loner, she enjoyed the company of those around her. If there was a soccer game she was out there cheering with her classmates. If there was a crazy new movie out she would be the one to buy the tickets for everyone. Even after a party she would have those late night heart to hearts with anyone who was in that mood. Yet, the people in the photographs remained after months of fading into obscurity and dwindling contact, in the highest regard. Audrey returned to her book and further cocooned herself in the fuzzy blankets.
