Roamers Controlling Dova

The CEO of the leading car company, Roamers, rose to power and no one knew exactly how he did it. Some speculated that he had actually stolen a lot of the theories and technology of his various romantic exploits. This led to gaps in the products he marketed as they were not exactly used as the true creators intended.

Eventually, his traffic light system was integrated into major cities, but it led to major vulnerabilities that the refs would exploit once they got their hands on his system’s backend. In his gentrified neighborhoods everyone was required to have at least the third model of the sulphuric electric vehicles. Each person had a profile that is customized to their habits. This put them all on the grid where each time a roamer came into range of a traffic light system it would force the car to slow down with yellow lights and stop at red lights.

Depending on the level of power, and by that I mean money that they have gotten from less pure ways, the person could upgrade their profile to change the lights green and red for everyone else. Of course, the original creator had meant for this for emergency vehicles such as ambulances when they came into range of a hospital, but of course Jasp saw how he could make it about him. This in turn made him very rich as the people in his neighborhoods were very selfish as they felt their time on their way to yoga was more important than a cardiac surgeon.

Neil did not have a choice to live in these neighborhoods as anyone under the age of 26 was kept under close watch by their parents. He was the type of kid that had to practice their violin after being tutored for math. There were billboards that one could buy in a “Jasplet” (where Jasp compared himself to Hamlet), so Neil used that as an opportunity to get the Karen’s up in arms.
