Audrey preferred to look for what’s out there, while Jay looked for what’s right there. Audrey would pour over papers and textbooks then talk to experts to know about every tool or fact that is available to her research. Jay meanwhile, would stare straight at something until his eyes were red and he understood the object. This could be programming, collecting samples and data, or existing around the specimen for months.
