Audrey laid down on the couch looking up at the ceiling. Maybe Regan was right that she had grown emotionless over time. It’s not that she’s numb or anything, but given the pause in funding, life is more boring. The challenge of everyday life that it mattered what one did kept her invigorated before. Her work still had an impact on people, but there was no rush to it.
