Dream

Audrey was driving down the street close to the hospital and there was a man that had the sticky note that researcher wrote with surprising adhesive abilities attached to his car. She just needed to catch him at a stoplight, but for some stupid reason to keep her equipment for squashing her laptop her bag was at her feet as she was driving. She could drive, but every time she accelerated she had to move her foot to go fast.

Later in the day she caught up with an old friend and her mom while she was waiting. Her mom reminded that someone published all of Audrey’s past mistakes online. The lowest of the low and she wondered, “Who would do such a thing?” She had to find out.

There was a protest she was invited to in a large banquet hall. The professors were defending why they had such high salaries, but it was only a couple that were the actual problem. Those professors were locking their grant money to only them and also receiving royalties for every time their knowledge, print or in person benefited someone. The campus had heavy surveillance so the moment something was printed from one of these professor’s lectures the students were charged 50 dollars for life saving research.

Audrey’s dad was calling so she skipped the pool event as she did not have an ID for the school being protested…even though it was being held at her school. She could have easily just acted she was a part of the swim team, but she thought about how she doesn’t always have the energy to be a vigilante.

Back at her apartment she saw a mess and some pink mess on her laptop and knew that Hazel was playing some stupid game and messed up the simulation Audrey was running.

“HAZELLLL,” Audrey screamed. “Why are you screaming? I was just painting something for the auction? Screaming this screaming that, you really need some herbal tea,” Hazel suggested as she descended the staircase. While Hazel looped through the spirals, of the stairs and Audrey’s mental attitude, Audrey frantically opened a window to cool down her desktop. Dova did not yet know processing power for more than one thought. Audrey looked back and forth and just sighed exasperatedly then hopped on the couch with the speed of a comet to be laying on said couch. She grabbed her marble eye mask, placed it on her head and went mute.
